About the position
The Mint Julep Boutique is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Manager to ensure our production and shipping processes run smoothly. This individual will act as a central point of contact between the warehouse, office, and external shipping partners, overseeing inventory management, quality control, production timelines, and shipping logistics. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to analyze production data, and a keen eye for process improvement.
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Manager responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Production & Shipping Coordination:
- Oversee and manage production schedules to ensure products are manufactured and shipped on time.
- Track and monitor shipments, working directly with UPS, FedEx, and other carriers to ensure timely delivery to the warehouse.
- Analyze shipping data and identify trends to improve delivery times and reduce shipping costs.
- Act as the communication bridge between the office (production coordinators, marketing, etc.) and the warehouse to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding priorities and deadlines.
- Logistics & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors, including suppliers and freight carriers.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of products and materials.
- Negotiate shipping rates and manage any issues related to delivery delays or costs.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that product availability aligns with promotional campaigns and product launches.
- Communicate with the design team to ensure new products are on track for timely production and shipping.
- Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:
- Compile reports on shipping delays, damaged goods, and any other recurring issues to help identify root causes and propose solutions.
- Suggest and implement improvements to streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and optimize logistics operations.
- Stay current on best practices in production, shipping, and supply chain management to continuously improve operational efficiency.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Business is preferred
- Knowledge of inventory management and supply chain software
- Experience working with UPS, FedEx, and other logistics companies
- Familiarity with the fashion or retail industry
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics, production coordination, or supply chain management (experience in fashion or e-commerce is a plus). Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to production, shipping, and inventory management.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external vendors.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in quality control, inventory tracking, and production timelines.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and shipping platforms (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager).
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and generate reports for process improvements.
- Team Player: Comfortable collaborating across departments and working with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
